There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who stand up for truth and justice no matter what it costs them and those who don’t. For the sake of convenience, let’s call these people Truth Addicts.
There are, I have learned, quite a few Truth Addicts running around. But as you might expect, we seem to be in a minority. Not standing up and saying something is just so much easier, so much more comfortable, so much safer. Why raise a fuss? Why cause a ruckus? Why rock the boat?
Indeed, there is a boatload of censure waiting for you if you’re a Truth Addict. You’ll be labeled an attention whore, an agitator, a bitter cynic, an angry, negative person and other things that are a lot worse than that. Why put up with all that criticism? Never mind that none of this is true about Truth Addicts. That doesn’t matter. If you are a Truth Addict, your intentions will be questioned at every turn.
Why is this? Is it because many people simply can’t understand the drive to defend what’s right and decry what’s wrong no matter the cost? I think that this is what it boils down to. Just as it’s sometimes impossible to explain why you like a certain food or a type of music, this too is ineffable. And just as it’s pretty easy to recognize a fellow fan of sushi or metal music, it’s pretty easy to find fellow Truth Addicts in your midst.
They will be the ones who will JUST NOT LET SOMETHING GO while you’re wondering what the fuss was to begin with.
They will be the ones who stay up nights to write lengthy screeds to their newspaper’s Letters to the Editor or post on their blogs or send impassioned e-mails to their friends.
They will be the ones who not only forward you a donation appeal for a charity or political organization, but write an intro first explaining why you MUST DO SOMETHING.
They will be the ones who send you a news article prefaced by something like “THIS is exactly what I’ve been saying!!!”
They will be the ones who take an unpopular position in their professional, gender, ethnic or racial group that runs counter to what others in that group usually believe.
They will often be the ones who write letters to their elected officials. Real letters. Not those canned ones you just sign your name to.
They might be the ones to start new philanthropic organizations to address a need they feel is overlooked.
In short, these are pretty amazing people. You might find it tiresome, but let me assure you that they are the ones you want in your corner when something goes awry. Throughout history these are the people who have stood up to dictators, genocide and more.
So the next time you find yourself annoyed by one of us Truth Addicts, take a moment to think about this and try to be kind.
Lea, I want you in my corner when my life goes awry. You are one of the rare few who stand up no matter what the cost.

Let’s hope the Supreme Court answers the call–and with more than a cursory look. This will require that the Court interview litigants to truly understand the depth of deceipt the Carver Court is practicing. Carver can make things appear appropriate on the surface, but the reality is that it is nothing but inappropriate. For example, there are cases where the Carver Court ordered that the divorcing parties split their assets in half, which seems correct, but on closer inspection the Court in fact awarded the abuser all the assets–because the Court manipulated the asset sheet to remove assets from the abuser’s side (thus giving the abuser full benefit of that asset) and adding assets to the protective parent’s side of the sheet which don’t exist (causing the protective parent to have to pay the abusive parent). The Supreme Court will never see or understand much of what is going on without interviewing litigants to really understand what is going on. Litigants can also illuminate the problems much more quickly–Carver has generated an inconceivable amount of paperwork–lots of paperwork means its easy to bury the problems. Litigants can tell investigators what laws were broken and when and provide court documents to avoid having to go through the insurmountable volume. The Supreme Court should also look at any Motions to Remove that have been filed to determine if they were properly handled–also interviewing the complainant in the process. I am sure they will find that the few that were filed (litigants generally don’t file these out of fear of backlash–things have to be rock bottom bad to file a complaint) were not properly handled.

Couldn’t be stated more accurate and true. Abuser, and the one who takes a “malicious stand” to ruin the other, has usually won! Leaving situations that one has to deal with and an unsurmountable tasks to get your head above water! AGREED, the litigants, complicate, overuse the courtsystem in attempts to confuse EVERYONE! Ortmann does receive credit along with Ernie! But it took a long time to make some movements. They will not run from this.. those CC judges, need to have their power taken,since it has been horribly abused, not just in family court. Laws not abided by,
most people would NEVER keep a job with this type of behavior! so wrong!!! the system, down to GAL’s, Social Services, claim they are there to protect children, yet they are part of the reason the family is torn apart even more! Ms. Jenna Braaten, is one of them!

This is excellent! Now we need the Media to jump onto the bandwagon and start reporting on the tragic abuses and corruption in the Family Court. It needs to expand to EVERY county in the State, and we all need to be relentless in our pursuit of true Justice in the so-called justice system. I only hope that this is not something being done to simply molify the situation, complete with a pre-arranged outcome. I don’t trust anyone in the “system” for good reasons. This has been going on for many, many years. The Judicial?Legal system with respect to Family & Criminal court operates in the EXACT same fashion as an Organized Crime Syndicate. Power tends to corrupt, and Absolute power corrupts absolutely!
The legislature gave the courts absolute power many years ago, and it has been the single most destructive force in our society ever since. The Lawyers who benefit from this are just as responsible. We need the Lawyers who still have a conscience, and all the Legislators who are not lawyers, and the lawyers who do not have aspirations to become judges because of the absolute power they covet, to stand up and put this travesty in its proper top rung on the political agenda! Thank GOD!!! Finally…….the beginning of the END for those in Carver County (and I’m talking about EVERYONE from law enforcement (who have been allowed if not directed to walk into a loving parent’s home and take the children away from the PROTECTIVE AND LOVING parent for NO REASON), to the black robes (and black is such an appropriate color for these particular people who have disregarded the Law so blatantly)………and everyone in between (Social Services, Guardian ad Litems, “Parenting Consultants”, those who are on “special” attorneys’ “special list of friends”, and even court clerks who are either forced or complicit in altering court files and/or keeping their mouths shut in the face of what they surely know to be wrong! It took some very strong women (and a few mighty awesome learned and ethical gentlemen), UNWILLING TO BE THE VICTIMS OF EITHER THEIR SPOUSES OR THE COURT SYSTEM ANY LONGER, to not rest until appropriate ACTION was taken to OUT pervasive, blatant, evil and DISGUSTING abuse of power and corruption. Lea, Caroline, Bonnie, Dale, Linda, Marie, etc.,………you have all done so very much under circumstances that surely would….and undoubtedly have….broken down those that were not able to find the support and faith that you get up each day committed to. You have helped me to get up each day and have hope. Senator Ortman (and Rep. What a great start to the unjustices in the family court system. Just as others have said this is not just a problem or issues in Carver County. There is plenty of other stories in other counties, children with out their primary caregiver. Lets hope this sheds the light on the entire problem.

I hope when the others at the capitol sign this letter they write next to signature, please remove robe, salary, and alleged honor – from judge richard perkins – as this judge has removed honor from our courtrooms – given us a false sense of security – ruined lives of children and people of minnesota – let murderers go – stated in open court that no one has a constitutional right to parent their own kids > he has disgraced the bench – embarrassed all judges in minnesota – and should be made an example of.

what this judge has done to lea is inexcusable and indefensible. you do not rip a newborn from its mother and give it to 20 year old nannies….. you do not refuse evaluation of kids ripped from their mother, the list goes on. there is proof of the abuse, marked confidential in the file. this judge is a narcissist and a dangerous man. charming on the outside, rotten ot the core on the inside. should not be wandering in public and certainly not high on a bench considered honorable. other people get fired dor performing poorly – why is there an exception for judges? they should be the first ones fired, they are supposed to be protecting, serving and stopping injustice. this is completely disgusting if you think onit.
lea can never get this time back with her baby. the baby did not bond withher. and think of the older two. they know their mom and know what they are missing. how awful for them to have to live like this. wish it did not have to go on one more day, hour.

Minnesota holds the despicable record for the highest
rate of child trafficking in the United States. Wealthy
pedophiles are catered to in Carver County by Head
Judge Edward Lynch, and judges Cain, Eide, Kanning
and Perkins. (known as the `fraudulent five`) These
victim children are used by others. This happens in various
other counties in Minnesota (Kimberly Sperling/Dakota County
case), but this is most prominently found in Carver.
Carver County trains their Social Services and
Child Protection officers in the Netherlands.
Carver County does not utilize Minnesota statutes and laws
when performing child protection investigations. They
have not in years.
This is far
more sinister than many know. Sen. Ortman did a great
thing here. She says in this letter that she has heard
and known about these horrific stories in her community
for many years. I am not sure even she knows how great of a
thing she has done to initiate a look into this county. Finally this
is going to be brought to the light and exposed.
This move by Sen. Ortman will save
hundreds (thousands dating back) in this county.

I’d like to know as well……….why is there no response from the court giving an EXPLANATION of why Lea’s children were taken away from her. And please……”allowing her” supervised visitation on a limited basis that SHE WAS TO PAY FOR knowing full well she would be unable to do so because she was left penniless is NOT allowing her to have contact with her children. So, Carver County……..WHAT IS THE REASON? IF there were a reason (there has been NONE that has been made public), and even IF it was something that did not speak well of Lea (THIS IS EASY TO SAY, BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH NEGATIVE EVIDENCE OR EVEN ACCUSATION AGAINST HER)……..I know that Lea would be fine with having it publicized. So do so, Carver County. Explain to us, the people of this county, why these children are being kept away from their mother who loves them. We watch her in pain every day, and we in turn are in pain for her. There is not a doubt that this is harming her children and they are children of OUR community. So explain………….or explain why you will not explain. How much more strongly can this be stated/demanded???

As a CITIZEN of this County and this State, I do NOT understand why the Court will not come forth with even one REASON for keeping Lea and her children apart. And “allowing” (at one time) supervised visitation that they knew very well she was unable to afford (and should never have had to) because they left her with literally NOTHING of the marital assets………..nothing! WHY WILL THE COURT NOT COME FORTH WITH A REASON and be accountable to this county, to this mother, to these children?? Why? Everyone deserves an answer to this.

What I meant to say above was that “allowing” supervised visitation meant nothing when they knew she had no way to pay the fees associated with that “privilege” they allowed her at one time. NO PARENT OR CHILD SHOULD EVER BE SUBJECTED TO THIS. So, Carver County………..what is the reason? Why is it that you do not feel that you are accountable to make the citizens of your county possibly understand your reasoning/rationale. Why does it not bother you that everyone in this community feels you have raped a family? I would think that you would WANT to explain yourselves and clear this up!!! Asking again……..what possible reason is there for this? If it is NOT corrupt, then clear it up so everyone can stop thinking/believing that it is! That’s what happens when you have sociopaths sitting on the bench calling the shots, and they direct their minions to do their dirty work, and everyone suffers except the ones on the county and State Payrolls and pensions! I have seen hundreds of thousands of dollars in billings for services that NEVER happened! They are ripping our society to pieces, creating more destruction than you can imagine. I know because I have felt it and seen it first hand. There is NO TRUTH that matter sin FAMILY COURT. Felony Perjury is the standard! All of these people swear under oath, and lie like its second nature. It is the sick people who are running the show. The Minnesota Judiciary is the core root of more of our social problems than everything else combined. They are ruthless, without conscience, and have no more moral integrity than a prison camp guard in Europe in World war II, and that is no exaggeration. That’s what happens when they have No accountability, no liability, and do not have to follow any law. They make up their own rules as they go along, and distort truth to suit their sick agenda, which is to create an industry that is making Judges and Lawyers who operate in it, filthy, filthy, rich. They have the blood of thousands of children on their hands, and they have the arrogance and audacity to continue to be in denial! Sociopath run our Judicial/Legal system. The biggest con of our time. That;s why they try to keep the family court a secret, that;s why they don’t record the insane abuse the Guardians and Social workers inflict on our kids. They have everything to hide, and everything to lose! It is simply SICK! And any Lawyer who is hoping to make his or her millions off of this child trafficking business, or who wants to be a judge, will be the first ones to scream its not true! You can pick out the Lawyers (A few exceptions recently now that the truth is getting hard to deny)in the Senate and legislature in a second when these matters are addressed, They are defensive, arrogant, and sing the same story they have been taught to sing……oh these are just people unhappy with the outcome…..damn right,,,,,because the outcomes almost always have no basis in the truth!!!!! We have been led to believe judges have some higher level of integrity? My ass. They are human beings, and they need to be held to a very high standard. Currently they are not. They are getting away with the greatest mass abuse of humanity in this modern society EVER! Time to EXPOSE, PROSECUTE, and CONVICT the real child abusers, The Minnesota Judiciary! And for those who claim they are not a part of it……..speak up…….you know damn well what is going on. Your Cult is being exposed so instead of enabling and rationalizing compromising your integrity by claiming you don’t do it in your court, call out the abusers and clean out your club because your all going down with the ship of you don’t put your peers who are part of this crime syndicate in the limelight. Its the same old thing, acting like a fraternity of brothers and sisters, covering up and ignoring the abuse. Game on, we have just begun. The light will be shining bright on all of you soon. Time to come clean, time to repent, time to restore justice in the Family Court. Shame on you all!

legal system is not somehting to call these people. it is a joke
lea was also told she must first get another psych eval, before she has to pay $100 an hour to see her kids. even though shes had psych evals she has even tried to re enter them into the court record, perkins refuses to consider them…… all were normal. We are all so sick of this. our hearts ache for these kids and lea. i am on leas facebook, i look every day for a new picture of her and her kids. we will be dancing int he streets.

Happy to see a politician wiling to get to the bottom of this. Lea needs her kdis home. Those young kids need their mom so bad. We are all waiting to cheer when those kdis are finally allowed to be in the care and love of their mom. And when these judges or judge is stopped from doing this. The stories out of that county are bad. This happens alot. It is so hard on the kids.

Shocking how many victims there are in Carver County… numbers are staggering. Five more in the last 48 hours have come forward. Truly heart breaking stories…. a lot of the same professionals involved. Same four judges blocking themselves to the cases… Cain, Eide, Kanning, and Perkins. Children suffering…. families, grandparents… the amount of horror is inconceivable.

did ortman do this as a publicity stunt? there is no action being taken on this. the sca and gildea said they will not investigate because edward lynch already investigated himself. it appears ortman is not doing anything after that announcement. it is becoming obvious she may have done this as a way to get out of the light being exposed on her. especially since the sue jeffers show where ortman was toasted. do not like that ortman most likely did this to get the light off of her. i will be voting for her opponent.

What can you do Ortman about my Dakota County, MN divorce case 19-F1-05-13968. I filed for a divorce in Dakota County, MN in June 2005 I was getting out of an abusive relationship after 19 years of marriage. I was a stay at home mom and raised my kids for 12 years, educated as an Elementary teacher at the University of MN, College of Education and I haven’t seen my 3 children since Oct. 2007, almost 5 years. I was an amazing mom and I had amazing children. I have no money so no lawyer. What has happened to me and my 3 brainwashed children is unwarranted/wrongful denial of physical and legal custody/visitation. And no I have done nothing wrong, I am not an alcoholic nor have I ever been, nor do I do any illegal drugs nor have I ever, I am not a gambler, I am not a prostitute, etc…. I have done nothing wrong. MN has no reason to torture me and my 3 kids and I still haven’t seen my children for 5 years. MN first judicial district court judge Michael Mayer and my x-husband has made it so that I have to pay to see my kids, pay!!!!!! MN needs to explain how I could raise my kids for 12 years, file for a divorce and not see my kids for 5 years. Heinous crimes judge Mayer and former judge Timothy Blakely.

IF Senator Julianne Ortman did this in sincerity, she would have stuck to it and made sure it was followed up on.
IF Senator Julianne Ortman did this as a stunt to gain favor after Sue Jeffers let her have it on her 1130 AM radio show in April 2012 when the letter came out – Ortman would send out this letter, nothing would happen, and she would let it die.
We have our answer. It was meant to detour the public listening to the 1130 am radio show to make it look like she intended to do something about the terrorizing of Carver County courts.
Children are still suffering in Carver County. Carver County Tracee Bosch recently removed 6 kids from a mother and father – who live in ILLINOIS. County made $6000 per/child from state and federal funding. Children are terrified and suffering enormously away from their mother and father.
The Banken kids are still living in terror.
Julianne Ortman did this as a publicity stunt. In-surmounting sad to see. But she is lawyer… and not to mention VERY chummy with Chief Justice Lorie Gildea and her husband. Ortman has the power to do something about this. But careers are typically more important. Especially the lawyers in the legislature.
Children suffer day in and day out as a result. I personally will not be voting for Julianne Ortman. Understanding her position as a lawyer – and her career as a lawyer on the line – matters none. The children who cannot stand up for themselves are much more important than the career and money made by Julianne Ortman. If she would have actually gotten something done about Carver County her popularity among the MN people would skyrocket. This is horrible to see a stunt like this. They make the people out for fools, and take advantage of situations like this. Not honorable behavior at all.
